YWAM Belize – Sports Academy
Wonder Voyage has been working with Youth With A Mission Belize for over a decade. Along with numerous outreaches throughout the country, YWAM Belize is impacting the lives of boys by reaching out through one of their passions… sports. What started as boys from the nearby Roaring Creek area seeking sanctuary after school soon turned into a soccer team that practiced together regularly. Coaches stepped up, and before long the young men were playing competitively. Two Wonder Voyage teams traveled to Belize to take YWAM’s ministry to the next level by building a live-in sports academy for local boys in need.
Current Needs
The Wonder Voyage teams painted three rooms, gutted a bathroom, bought and installed a refrigerator and oven, built window frames, and painted a living room and kitchen. As the boys move in, YWAM will have ongoing needs to help care for them. If you would like to partner with the Sports Academy, check out their current needs.
