The reviews are in! Spring Break in Costa Rica was amazing!
We love great reviews. This one comes to us from Becky Moseman, Director of Christian Formation at Trinity Episcopal Church in Tulsa. Her team spent Spring Break in Costa Rica. She said,
“I’ve been a leader on quite a few Wonder Voyage pilgrimages and although many have been great, this one may be one of my top experiences.
I typically don’t do mission trips as there is so much work to be done locally at home. However, this trip for the purpose of spiritual pilgrimage was the perfect mix. We learned about nature, foraging, and the culture of the area. We saw poverty and the way in which the community comes together to support one another. The locals taught us to make tortillas and clay pottery using methods and tools passed down from their families for generations.
Living a way of life that truly took being responsible for the environment seriously, we had great perspective on water conservation, reusing everything, being careful with waste, and learning about the impact on our resources and how they are affecting animals like the sea turtles.
While living at a mission base in Christ-centered beloved community, we built relationships through service, fellowship, and worshiping in new and different ways to see God with new eyes.
We had the opportunity to cook a meal and feed the homeless while we were there as well as have eucharist on the beach. So many ways of breaking bread together.
I’m missing the community we lived with as much as I miss the incredible views. I hope everyone has an opportunity like this Costa Rica pilgrimage to grow in faith. I don’t believe it would have been as amazing if we hadn’t had our wonderful Wonder Voyage guide, Cesar! He pulled everything together.”
Thanks for the great review, Becky!
