Transformed by Pilgrimage

I once led a team from Bethesda, Maryland to Nova Scotia on pilgrimage. Shortly after returning home, their reverend shared this response with the parish about their journey: “Last Tuesday, the St. Luke’s pilgrims arrived home safely. Our time in Nova Scotia changed us as individuals and as a community. We can tell you what…

Getting Away from the Noise
Away from the Noise
I traveled with Wonder Voyage to Ireland. We sailed by ferry to a small island called Inisheer. Separated from Ireland by the Atlantic, Inisheer has managed to maintain its age-old culture and traditions that have long since been forgotten by the mainland. A place to get away from the noise and discover God.
Pilgrimage Reflections - A Life Changing Journey
Pilgrimage Reflections
As a 17-year-old about to begin my senior year of high school, my mind was not fully prepared to understand the truly life changing journey I was on. I had participated in countless youth events, but it took removing myself from all that I was familiar with, leaving everything that was comfortable, for me to find God.

In less than two days, they had created an entirely new trip to Memphis that incorporated all of the same hopes we had for our original trip.
A Lasting Legacy
A Lasting Legacy
I love going on pilgrimages and mission trips. I love seeing incredible places, going on a spiritual adventure, and encountering God with teams all over the world. But what truly excites me now, after going on more than twenty-five trips, is leaving a legacy behind in the places that I serve.
Jesus Fell - Finding strength during times of weakness and vulnerability.
Jesus Fell
A few years ago, I was blessed to take a group of college students to Ireland with Wonder Voyage. An experience we had there changed my life in significant ways. And not just my life, but the lives of many of my students as well. This is a story about finding strength during times of weakness and vulnerability.
Mutton Chase in Ireland - An Ireland Pilgrimage
Mutton Chase in Ireland
There were three of us on staff that first year with Wonder Voyage. We were spending the summer in Ireland serving groups who were on pilgrimage from the United States. Between groups one week, the three of us decided to explore the Ring of Kerry. While driving along we noticed a sheep dodging traffic on the roadway. I decided to pull over and try to help it.
