Itinerary

Every Wonder Voyage itinerary (mission trip and/or pilgrimage) is personalized to the desires, direction and personality of each group. This itinerary is only a description of the kind of journey we can create for your unique team.

  • DAY 1 – RIVER OF LIFE
Welcome to Albuquerque, a unique place with multiple opportunities to serve as the hands and feet of Christ. Surrounded by desert beauty, Albuquerque has developed a culture of its own. Your home for the week is a peaceful retreat center with the city’s most beautiful view of the Sandia Mountains. A quick orientation while overlooking the mighty Rio Grande River will prepare you for the mission adventures will you encounter this week. How will you meet God face to face in the upcoming days?
  • DAY 2 – SERVE
Today we will serve an organization that provides food and clothing to locals who are struggling on the edge of poverty and homelessness. Our time will be spent meeting people face to face, hearing their struggles, joining them in hope and helping them in practical ways. In the afternoon, we will give our time to a local church with a special need that we can help fulfill. It is a day in which we will discover that we are God’s storehouses for a multitude of needs in the world.
  • DAY 3 – SANTA FE
The Lord’s Day brings us the opportunity to worship and fellowship in a historic church in Santa Fe. The team will be free to explore the oldest city in New Mexico, also the oldest capital in the United States. We will engage with local artists, discover some city secrets and wolf down a New Mexican meal that may just challenge our interpretation of hot. This will be a Sabbath day of surprises!
  • DAY 4 – HANDS AND FEET OF CHRIST
Today we will serve an organization that provides an oasis for people with developmental disabilities. We will spend quality time with these residents, playing, working and praying. It will become our job to reach out to the least of these and learn how much God changes us through loving others. The work will be tough but it will bring light and blessings in ways you can’t even imagine. In the evening we will discuss our journey and maybe even play a few games of dusty soccer. And don’t forget the Stone Soup meal!
  • DAY 5 – THE LORD’S TABLE
As we revisit the places we’ve served this week, we’ll spend our time solidifying the friendships we have forged and finishing the projects we started. At the special needs home, the afternoon will be spent preparing a BBQ feast and celebrating with a water balloon fight. We won’t give anything away, but the evening will bring a surprise expedition to a place that only the locals know about.
  • DAY 6 – MOUNTAIN TOP DAYS
Today will be our final day of service as we aid hundreds of people in food and clothe distribution. Though the needs seem overwhelming, you’ll see what a little love and hope can do. After serving, we will get a mountain top view of Albuquerque by taking one of the longest trams in the world to the top of the Sandia Mountains. Tonight we will celebrate our week with a special local flavor dinner. Back at the retreat center, we will calm our hearts and minds during a special time of Pass the Candle as we reflect on our adventure.
  • DAY 7 – ON THE ROAD AGAIN
It is time to pack up and say goodbye to a fantastic week of mission and pilgrimage in Albuquerque. You arrived with open hearts, willing hands and thoughtful minds. Our prayer is that you take these memories and experiences home with you and let them transform your life beyond this pilgrimage.
