- Day 1
Get ready for a week of adventure in Ecuador! We will immediately jump in by touring Old Town Quito. The Spanish colonial architecture, vibrant colors, and equatorial heat will all start to immerse you in this South American culture. Where else do you have the chance to travel to The Middle of the World to straddle the equator line? - Day 2
Our day will begin 4,500 meters above sea level as we stand on the side of an active volcano. We will descend on bikes and glide through the Cotopaxi National Park. The evening will bring us to a mountain top village where we have rooms with a unique view. - Day 3
Hidden in the Ecuadorian mountains lies a crater full of clear, aqua water. The view is breathtaking as you hike towards it and down to the crystal water. Feel free to hike, canoe, or rest in the natural beauty of the land. If you are brave enough, you can choose to ride a mule back up the crater on your way out. - Day 4
We will travel through many local villages as we make our way to the Valley of Waterfalls. We will hike and explore around the massive waterfalls that are dotted across the land. The braver of the bunch may choose to ride in an open cable car over deep chasms below. - Day 5
Today you will be in the largest rainforest on the planet, the Amazon. A rickety jungle boat will take you through the murky waters as you spot exotic animals in their natural habitat. We will spend the night in a jungle lodge nestled on the edge of the rainforest. - Day 6
Your adrenaline will be pumping today as you white water raft down a raging river. It will be an exhilarating experience that will leave you ready for relaxing in the hot springs that evening. We will draw our adventure to a close as we eat traditional Ecuadorian cuisine during our celebration meal. We will spend time thinking back over the week as we tell of our favorite moments. - Day 7
It has been a thrilling week spent out in a new country, experiencing a new culture, and making new memories that will last a lifetime. Take your sense of adventure home with you as you head back to America.
