New Hampshire was originally inhabited by the Abenaki and Pennacook tribes. Known as the “Mother of Rivers,” New Hampshire holds the origination point of five of the major rivers in New England. The abundance of water and other natural resources made New Hampshire a popular place for European settlers. Today the state remains a favored destination to enjoy natural beauty.
Near the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, you can venture on outdoor activities that allow you to break free from the rigors of life and enjoy the re-creation of time spent outside. Mountains, forests, rivers, and waterfalls are a feast for the eyes and a balm for the soul. Whether you hike, kayak, or just taking in the unique beauty of historic covered bridges, a Wonder Voyage to New Hampshire can help you reconnect to the wonder of creation.

Itinerary
Every Wonder Voyage itinerary (mission trip and/or pilgrimage) is personalized to the desires, direction and personality of each group. This itinerary is only a description of the kind of journey we can create for your unique team.
- Day 1 – Multitude of Places
Welcome to your Wonder Voyage. This week, we are seeking encounters with God in a multitude of places. Our home is St. Anselm, a college with an international presence. Anselm was known for his charity and devotion. To Anselm, God was inevitable. We begin our journey in the beauty of creation and ask the Spirit to guide us into love and joy as we serve others with our words and actions on our New Hampshire adventure. - Day 2- Being Near
We typically define service by the things we accomplish. These acts alone do not fulfill Jesus’ words to us. We live out the gospel by being near to people: with our presence, with our voices, with our compassion, and with our unselfish service. Our first acts of service will be with an organization that focuses on the critical care of those in need: food, clothing, training, and medical care. Our afternoon adventure will allow us to enjoy the outdoors, swim, and hike. - Day 3- Environmental
As followers of Christ, we have a commission to steward the environment. Today, we’ll dedicate our time and minds to a farm, which is committed to providing environmental education in the Lakes Region community by encouraging curiosity, discovery, fun, and a connection to the natural world. We will learn and get our hands dirty with outdoor projects to help the organization’s mission. Get ready to release your inner naturalist. - Day 4- Hospitality
To love people, we must be willing to be close to them. Our hands, our words, and our service are the expressions of God to a world longing to hear good news and receive a touch from the Creator. We are at a special cafe outreach for a morning of service before our afternoon cultural deep dive. We will discover the spiritual and creative lives of one of the oldest Christian communities in the Northeast, the Shakers, known for their warm, spirited hospitality. - Day 5 – Least of These
As followers of Jesus, part of our mission is to reach out to people on the margins of our lives. The “least of these” are always in His heart. Every Saturday morning, we will partner with an organization that hosts an outdoor food ministry at the local school’s playground. You will help serve food to those who gather, providing what may be their only warm meal of the day. Our afternoon is filled with goofy fun. You’ve worked hard this week. Now it’s time to relax. A Celebration meal will be followed by passing the candle, marking the end of our day. - Day 6- Neighbor
We bid a fond farewell to our New Hampshire neighbors, hopefully leaving people who were different from when we arrived. May the love and compassion we shared continue to infuse our lives, wherever we are, and may we remember that a stranger is just a friend we haven’t had the chance to get to know yet. Continue to encounter God through loving others the way Christ loves us. Amen
