Itinerary
Every Wonder Voyage itinerary (mission trip and/or pilgrimage) is personalized to the desires, direction and personality of each group. This itinerary is only a description of the kind of journey we can create for your unique team.
- Day 1 – ¡Bienvenidos a México!
Upon arrival in Mérida, teams settle into the heart of the historic city center. As the group gathers for the first time, they begin slowing the pace of everyday life. Walking from the central plaza, the evening offers an opportunity to observe local rhythms, architecture, and culture—setting the tone for the days ahead. - Day 2 – Chichén Itzá
Our journey leads us to one of the most significant archaeological sites in the world. Guided exploration of Chichén Itzá invites reflection on ancient civilizations, human ingenuity, and the passage of time. After a full day under the sun, the group visits a cenote—descending into cool, quiet waters that offer both physical refreshment and a symbolic pause for reflection. - Day 3 – To Campeche
The morning allows for unhurried exploration of Mérida’s historic center, including its cathedral, government palace, and surrounding plazas. Later in the day, the group journeys toward the Campeche region, marking a transition into the next chapter of the voyage. Opportunities to serve in a local community open doors to us. - Day 4 – Stories of the Past
Campeche’s walled city and coastal forts tell stories of resilience, protection, and legacy. The group explores the historic center of Campeche before starting their first project, a chance to leave a legacy. As the sun sets over the Malecón, the day concludes with reflection by the sea—where history, beauty, and stillness converge. - Day 5 – Edzná
Our morning allows us to finish our project and leave the community as friends. A guided visit to the archaeological site of Edzná offers a quieter, less crowded encounter with the ancient world. This day encourages deeper conversation and thoughtful engagement with the lessons history leaves behind. Tonight we celebrate with a Yucatan feast and a time to pass the candle. - Day 6 – Heading Home
The journey concludes with a final visit to a secret subterranean cenote, offering a memorable ending to our great adventure. Surrounded by natural beauty, the group can reflect on the journey before returning home refreshed, grounded, and changed by the experience.
