5 Wonder Voyage Reviews
After a year of COVID isolation, Wonder Voyage is excited to reunite churches with the wonder that community pilgrimages offers. Whether you are looking for transformation, service opportunities, disconnecting from the problems of the world, reconnecting with nature, or strengthening the bonds within your group… Wonder Voyage is open for travel.
Here are some highlights from our 2021 summer reviews.

Transformation

“Our theme for the pilgrimage was to be exposed, experience, and learn what we could from the folks that we encounter. Wonder Voyage met every one of those expectations and more!!! This was a transformative experience for everyone that joined us.”
-Rev. Chris Harpster, St Paul’s Episcopal, Kingsport, TN (Boston Voyage)

Service

“We were able to form lasting new and deepen existing relationships as our team worked side by side on construction and Legacy projects. Our trip was an awesome time of service and ministry and we can’t wait to do it again!”
-Vickie Summers, Cornerstone Church, Rowlett, TX (New Orleans Voyage)

Disconnecting From Problems

“Wonder Voyage allowed us to embark on a journey alongside our kids. On trips we’ve taken with other organizations in the past, we spend so much time ‘working’ that the kids are exhausted and not able to fully experience to wonders of Christ.  Wonder Voyage gifted us with those extra moments of downtime that allowed the youth to feel rested and ready to open up to the wonders of God. In the evenings we had time for games, some basketball and volleyball, and bonding activities. All these small things allowed our kids to disconnect from the problems of the world, and make space for God to enter in and touch their lives in very unexpected ways.”
– Kadi Strong, St Matthews Episcopal, Chandler, AZ  (Oregon Voyage)

Reconnecting With Nature

“After a year of not getting in-person time with our kids, our group had to pivot to the US from a European adventure due to COVID-19. We moved our trip to Montana and were blown away by the beauty. We wanted an outdoor adventure to see God in natural spaces with quiet and splendor. Our housing was fantastic and the dock was a favorite space for the team. It was a beautiful space for contemplation, laughs, Eucharist, and Pass the Candle. Thank you Wonder Voyage for helping us find gorgeous spaces to foster connection between our kids and God, each other, and nature.”
– Jodi, St. Martin of the Fields, Atlanta, GA (Montana Voyage)

Strengthen Your Bond

“After spending a year trying to build relationships from a distance, our main objective on our Arkansas Pilgrimage was to begin to rebuild and strengthen our student ministry. Wonder Voyage heard this desire and crafted a trip full of adventure and opportunities for students to make memories and share experiences. Our home base for the week was an Abbey, which provided an excellent foundation for our objective. We loved getting to explore the beauty of the Natural State and look forward to continuing to work with Wonder Voyage in the future.”
– Jared Phares, St James, Dallas, TX  (Arkansas Voyage)
