The Summer Buzz

We’re halfway through our summer season of leading pilgrimages and mission trips to dozens of countries. These rare days of mid-summer rest fall between our busiest weeks of the year. Hundreds of Wonder Voyage participants have finished their journeys.

Biggest Milestones of 2023

Wonder Voyage celebrates eight new Voyage Coordinators and five new Guides this year. We’re excited to see how these new teammates lead us into our future.

New Locations and Old Favorites

As every summer, we’ve launched into new locations, including:

We’ve also visited some favorites we have not been to in a while: Vancouver, Canada, St. Louis, and southeast France.

If you have stories you’d like to share about your Wonder Voyage, we’d love to hear them.

Client Buzz

We collect feedback from all of our trips. Here are a couple of quotes we received in June that speak to who Wonder Voyage is:

Our week was filled with adventure, the incredible vistas of God’s creation, time for connection and contemplation, and space to grow together, to grow in wonder, and to grow in connection. We laughed and filled our souls. Our kids grew in confidence and kindness to each other in amazing ways in just a week. We came as a group of deeply committed leaders and great kids. We left as a group of connected people with deep memories that will shape all of us for the rest of our lives and a commitment to each other that only a trip like this can foster.- Jodie, St. Martins in the Field Atlanta in Banff

Maggie, a youth minister from St John Ross, CA, wrote this about her team’s time in Navajoland: As our group set out, we expected an incredible week filled with exploration, valuable service, and wonder. There was no way, however, that we could have predicted just how blessed we would be to learn from and connect with some of the wisest and most inviting people, so willing to open their homes, hearts, and history to us, and thus return home forever changed and seeking change in this world. There are far too many moments of wonder and rooted connection to describe – and really, words would not be enough anyway. We can only say thank you, to the Diné people and to Wonder Voyage, for such a beautiful and life-changing week.

These words fuel us in all we do. We have another few weeks to go, and like you, we wait to see what unexpected moments of wonder will meet us on the road.
